Georgina “Wilmington,” 67, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born on September 15, 1965, in Wilmington, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and dedication to her family and community.
A proud graduate of the University of California, Georgina built a distinguished career as head of production on movies for Disney. Her professional achievements were matched by her generous spirit and adventurous heart. She was deeply committed to volunteer work, notably helping to build wells in underserved villages across Africa, bringing essential resources to underprivileged communities.
Wilmington was a devoted mother who treasured spending time with her children—her daughter Gene, her daughter Gertrude, and her sons Tim and Tom. She loved traveling, going to movies with friends, and engaging in hobbies such as puzzles, knitting, and sewing, which reflected her patient and creative nature.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents and is survived by her children, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength.
A memorial service will be held at Cedar Sinai. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Dog Energy, honoring Georgina’s vibrant and generous spirit.
Georgina’s warmth, dedication, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a lasting impact through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched through her volunteer work and career.
